7th Grade Star Student of the Week!
The seventh grade team would like to congratulate the following winners of the seventh grade star student of the week. Star student of the week winners are selected based on academic performance, attendance, behavior, and citizenship. The winners for last week were Areem Parker and Le’Zaria Hicks. The seventh grade team invites you to come to Travis and see their pictures displayed on the Star Student of the Week Wall.
Want to Play some Golf!
Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl interested in playing golf on the Temple I.S.D. Middle School golf team needs to come to the office and sign up. There will be a meeting for all golfers and their parents at Sammons Golf Course Clubhouse on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:00 pm. Questions regarding this can be directed to the Middle School Golf Coach Larry Clowers at 215-6440.
Back by Popular Demannd-CIS Hoodies/T-Shirts Sale
Due to popular demand, CIS is selling green Travis hoodies and long-sleeve T-shirts again!! Order forms are in the CIS room, the main office, and at the front desk. Please turn in completed forms along with payment to Mrs. Motsinger (room 104, the CIS room). All orders must be paid for in advance. We must have at least 25 shirts purchased to be able to order this time.
PTO is selling Spirit Sleeves
The PTO is selling Spirit Sleeves in the office. Each pair is only $8.00. Please see the office for additional information.
Band Information!
Travis Mustang Jazz Band will take seven students to Bonham Middle School for a chance to participate in the All-Region Middle School Jazz audition on February 3rd. Auditions begin at 5:00 pm. The All Region Jazz Band will be the opening band for the Temple Jazz Orchestra’s Saturday night performance during the TC Jazz Festival in March. Outstanding 6th grade woodwind performers for the week were Javier Lopez, Ariana Placencia, Amaya Cortez and Ja’Da Kinner. Congratulations students! The Band Fundraiser began on Thursday, January 27th. We are selling “World’s Famous” chocolate bars for $1.00 each. Help out the Travis Band program and buy some chocolate.
